The annual summer party for Goldwell and KMS California was held at London's Jasmine Studios last night and featured some special celebrity apperances showcasing british talent.
The event also saw Goldwell and KMS announce the UK winners of the Trend Zoom Colour Challenge, which invites hairdressers to compete to be part of the new creative team that will work on the new Trend Zoom collection for 2010. The international final will take place in Las Vegas in October.
Goldwell’s new Head of Education, Irene Meikle announced this year’s winners:
Hayley Waters from Burlesque won the prestigious award for Creative Colourist Kim Roy from Breeze Creative Hair won the award for Elumen Colourist and Andy Kyriacou from Lexington won the gong for Partner Colourist.Top hairdressers including Paul Scully, Mark Leeson, Lisa Whiteman, Michael Barnes, Adam Kemmy and Shane Bennett worked on fabulous looks which explored the concept of Virtualist and Ecopolitan and featured dramatic colours and textures. Goldwell's Creative Director, William Wilson, introduced the creative elements of the show and described the looks as "unique and very editorial" in concept.
Britian's got Talent finalists, Stravros Flatley showcased their unique brand of irish dancing and soul singing sensation, Jocelyn Brown belted out some of her classic hits. The audience - which featured hairdressers and many familiar industry faces - sang, danced and clapped along to the unique entertainment.
